Our lambs are Wensleydale, a rare-breed long wool sheep originally from North Yorkshire. They are large sheep, with very distinctive “dreadlock” fleece. The quality of the meat is very high, with no excess fat, and they have the added advantage of a beautiful fleece, which can be sold for spinning, or as we do, turned into sheepskin rugs.
Our lambs are obtained from nearby Bacton, which is home to the multi-award winning Mill House Farm flock. Sheep from this flock have won many prizes at the Suffolk Show, Royal Norfolk Show, and the Royal Show. |
